It’s official! DELTA Safety Training is accredited for GWO (Global Wind Organisation) Basic Safety Training.

Increasing demand for professionals

Investments in offshore wind but also onshore wind will increase considerably in the coming years. An estimated 12,000 people currently work in the offshore wind industry in The Netherlands. The increasing investments ensure a growing demand for additional professionals (8,000). The Global Wind Organization, in which wind turbine owners and manufacturers are represented, has developed a standard (basic safety training) for people working in the wind industry. This standard ensures that employees are well prepared for their work, have knowledge of working safely and how to respond in the event of an emergency.

GWO training

The Basic Safety Training for personnel working in the wind industry according to the Global Wind Industry (GWO) standard consists of five modules:
• Working at Heights
• First Aid
• Fire Awareness
• Manual Handling
• Sea Survival

These modules can also be booked separately. It is now possible to enroll for the GWO Basic Safety Training. At each training page you will find the starting dates.
